Bodies of 2 Mumbai youngsters with their heads smashed with a stone found under flyover

A few local residents spotted the bodies lying in a pool of blood and informed the police about it.

Two youths in their early twenties were found murdered under a flyover at Turbhe in Navi Mumbai on Wednesday morning.

A few local residents spotted the bodies lying in a pool of blood and informed the police about it.

Prima facie it appears that the deceased were residents of a nearby slum.

The police have not revealed their names so far.

"We think they were killed by smashing their heads with a stone on their heads on Tuesday night. We have sent the bodies to NMMC hospital for conducting postmortems," said a police officer from Turbhe Police station.

"We have just started our investigations to identify the deceased and the culprits. We also have no idea about the reasons behind the murders. So it is too early to say something about it. We will make some breakthrough soon," the officer said.
