Four injured as tree falls in Mumbai

This year, the number of tree fall cases are on rise in Kalyan-Dombivli.

Four labourers were injured after a branch of tree collapsed over them at Dombivli station road on Monday morning.

The labourers were waiting at the Kaamgar Naka. They suffered minor injuries and were taken to the Shastri Nagar civic hospital.

The fire brigade team of the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) cleared the branches. “The injured are out of danger now," said Suresh Shinde, fire officer, KDMC.

This year, the number of tree fall cases are on rise in Kalyan-Dombivli city.

"Last year fewer cases were reported. We have been getting complaints of tree falls daily," said Sudhakar Kulkarni, fire officer KDMC.
