Four injured, four vehicles damaged after tree collapses in Mumbai suburb

All the victims have suffered minor injuries and have been admitted to Thane civil hospital.

Four people were injured and four vehicles were damaged after a tree fell on them at Naupada in Thane on Monday morning.

The injured were identified as Rajeet Yadav,33, a rickshaw driver, two wheeler owner Rajesh Mudavane,36, another two wheeler owner, Ankush Jamble,30, and an unknown person.

All four injured people have been admitted to Thane civil hospital and officials confirmed that none of them suffered major injuries.

An official from the regional disaster management cell, Santosh Kadam, said, "The rickshaw driver, Jadhav, was heading towards Station Road while the other three were parking their vehicle when the incident took place. Tree cutting work was in progress on the road."

Kadam added," All four people have suffered minor bruises and scratches, and will be discharged from the hospital soon. The Naupada police station has taken note of the incident."
