History: The school was founded in January 1943 by members of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in Marine Lines and shifted to its current campus in January 1948. Campion attained the status of a full-fledged school in 1956, recognised by the University of Cambridge as an A-certified school.

Unique features: The school introduced skill-development in the curriculum for Classes 1 to 8. Children are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities.
