History: The school traces its roots to the present Cathedral of St Thomas at Fort where in 1718 Reverend Richard Cobbe started a small free shelter for 12 boys. A century later, Archdeacon George Barnes set up the Bombay Education Society in 1815 and hence is the oldest education society working in the city towards the welfare and upbringing of children.
Unique Features: The school won the ELETS Award at World Education Summit, New Delhi – 2016 and the 2016 Leaders Award as School for Innovation and Value Based Education awarded by 24 MRC in New Delhi. It is the only city school that hosts five inter-school events in sports as well as other extra-curricular subjects and has been one of the top two city schools in boxing in the last 12 years.
