To avoid craters along the Sion-Panvel highway, commuters began driving slowly and carefully, which led to major traffic snarls in the area.

Traffic along a 4-km stretch from Center One mall to the toll naka had stalled on Thursday. As many as 20 police officers were deployed to manage the traffic.
