A good dancer, Ragini wanted to be a doctor, and had got 92.2% in her Senior Secondary Certificate (SSC) examination, and had been taking extra classes from a reputed coaching centre.

Ragini became depressed after her board examinations, and she could not overcome the situation despite a series of counselling sessions by her parents and relatives. This led her to commit suicide on March 14.

Her parents, teachers and relatives were surprised when the results were announced on Tuesday after they learnt that she scored 77.54 % in the examination.

In another incident, a girl from Wani district ended her life by hanging herself after she failed her class 12 exams on Tuesday.

Komal Chachane, 18, committed suicide after she saw her results online. She had failed in two subjects, and hence ended her life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her residence.
