Two hurt as car hits trailer on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

According to the police, the car was going towards Pune from Mumbai. Suddenly, the car driver lost control and hit the trailer.

Two men suffered severe injuries as the car they were traveling in crashed into a trailer on Mumbai-Pune Expressway in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to the police, the car was going towards Pune from Mumbai. Suddenly, the car driver lost control and hit the trailer. (FIle)

The accident took place near Talegaon around 2.22 am.

According to the police, the car was going towards Pune from Mumbai. Suddenly, the car driver lost control and hit the trailer.

"The two injured have been admitted to Lokmanya hospital in Pune. We are now trying to trace their family members," said a police officer from Talegaon police station.

The trailer which was hit by the car did not stop after the accident. The police have no clue about the driver’s whereabouts.

"The reason behind the accident is not clear,” he said.
