LCD screens, modular toilets: Mumbai-Ahmedabad Shatabdi Exp to get two luxury coaches

The Anubhuti luxury coaches will also have comfortable bucket seats, automatic doors, mobile and USB points, among other things

Indian Railway’s latest attraction, the Anubhuti luxury coaches, will make its debut on the Western Railway (WR) soon. Two coaches are likely to be attached to the Shatabdi Express that runs between Mumbai and Ahmedabad, officials said. A new Anubhuti coach has just arrived at the Mumbai Central coach depot.

The Anubhuti coach is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as comfortable bucket seats, LCD screens, modular toilets, automatic doors, upgraded leg rests, mobile and USB points on seats and anti-graffiti vinyl covers. The seats also have a snack table, personalised reading lights and a bell to summon the attendant.

These coaches, manufactured at the Rail Coach Factory in Raebareli, are already operational on the Delhi- Chanḍigaṛh Shatabdi Express.
