MUMBAI: The Central Railway (CR) has decided to run 142 special trains along the Konkan region for Mumbaiites during Ganeshotsav. CR will later announce the reservation dates to book tickets to travel on these special trains.

According to a CR press release, these trains will run between Mumbai- Karmali, Dadar- Sawantwadi, Panvel-Chiplun, Dadar-Ratnagiri and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Sawantwadi stations, for clearing extra rush of passengers during the festive season.

Train No 01021/01022 CST, Mumbai–Karmali, Goa will run 40 trips and will operate from August 27 to September 18, while the 01003/01004 Mumbai-Karmali weekly special will run six trips and train no 01095/01096 Dadar-Sawantwadi triweekly specials will run 22 trips.

Train no 01089/01090 Dadar-Ratnagiri weekly specials will run 10 trips. The Sawantwadi triweekly specials will run 28 trips.
