The case was filed two months back, when the BKC police arrested a producer-cumdirector and a producer, who tried to pose as parents of the kids in order to get the US visa. A film writer, also a member of film writer’s association, is another wanted accused.

According to the police, the producer-cum-director is aged 62 and the producer, a woman, is 35 years old.

According to sources, they had taken the contract from the wanted accused in the case for sending these kids abroad. He is said to be the link between the kids and the arrested accused. The kids are suspected to be in Gujarat.

Police said the duo were working on some movie project and they were to get the money for committing the crime.

During the interview taken by the US consulate, they were caught and arrested two months later.

The passport used by the accused was genuine but the kids’ passports were forged. The same passports were used by the duo to take the kids to Bangkok.

The intention behind taking the kids to Bangkok and then an attempt to take them to America is not clear, said sources.
