22-year-old from WB run over at Currey Road station

The Dadar Government Railway Police (GRP) registered a case of accidental death after a 22-year-old man was knocked down by a train, the details of which are not known, while he was crossing the tracks between Parel and Currey Road stations on Tuesday evening; HT reports.

The Dadar Government Railway Police (GRP) registered a case of accidental death after a 22-year-old man was knocked down by a train, the details of which are not known, while he was crossing the tracks between Parel and Currey Road stations on Tuesday evening.

The police said the deceased had been identified as Shambhukar Chitto Mandal, and he had met with the accident around 7.45pm. He was taken to KEM Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The GRP officers stated that Mandal, a native of Baruna Har in 24 Parganas district in West Bengal, lived in Dahisar with one of his relatives. The police have handed over the body to the family of the deceased after a post-mortem was conducted on him.
