The police are yet to decide whether to slap charges against the boyfriend of 24-year-old BPO employee, who committed suicide on Saturday.

Franky Daniel is being questioned by the police.

Dorothy Louis hanged herself on Saturday at Mihar Apartments in Charkop where she was staying as a paying guest. Dorothy, who is from Mangalore, met Daniel about a year and half ago.

The police said Dorothy had left behind a suicide note written in English saying that she had been cheated.

“I am dying. I am cheated by Franky Daniel (sic). I am very sad. I wanted to spend my life with him. I love him but he cheated me.”

Recently, Daniel took her to meet his parents who live in south Mumbai.

“Daniel’s parents did not want him to get married to Dorothy. Earlier too, Dorothy had had been rejected by a few men because of which she used to be depressed,” said Senior Inspector P Gawande.

Though Louis had tried convincing Daniel to get married to her without his parents' approval, but he had refused saying that he could not go against his parents.

The police have also questioned Dorothy’s sister Movid, who lives in Andheri (W), with whom she had discussed her love problems. Movid had advised her to move on.

“Dorothy told her sister that she would leave for Mangalore,” added Gawande.
