7/11 witness confesses to carrying huge sum to city

A witness in 7/11 train blasts stated before a designated Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act court that he had carried a huge sum, allegedly used to fund the attack, from Pune to Mumbai and handed it over to one of the accused in the case.

The witness, who is a qualified business management student from Pune, deposed before the court on Wednesday. He said he was given Rs15,000 Saudi Riyals in Pune by Bilal, another witness in the case. “Bilal had asked him to hand over the sum to accused Mohammad Faisal Shaikh” said lawyer Prakash Rasal.
