The two-member commission comprising retired judge JA Patil and former chief secretary P Subramanian will compile their findings over the next two months and submit it to the state government by April.

The Adarsh Commission was set up in January 2011, three months after the scam hit headlines with 13 terms of reference.

Top politicians like home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, former chief ministers Ashok Chavan, Shivajirao Nilengekar as well as late Vilasrao Deshmukh have all deposed before the commission.

The commission which was supposed to submit its report in three months has taken nine extensions till date.
