Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying that the internal conflict in the party had been exposed.

"BJP’s veteran leader LK Advani gave us the true picture of the party, and within 36 hours he made a U-turn," said Pawar.

He added that even though Advani took back his resignation, which he had given after Narendra Modi's elevation, he has not taken back his
opinion about the functioning and the ongoing conflict in his party.

Pawar also admitted that after DMK and Trinamool ditched UPA II, a different kind of picture had emerged with discussions being held daily on when elections would be held.

The NCP chief said the uncertainty was also affecting the government.

His aide and union heavy industries minister Praful Patel stressed on the fact that the party had to improve its tally of NCP MPs to 15, if it really wanted to be considered as a force to reckon with.

"We keep on saying we are the number one party, but we have only eight MPs. If we want our standing to improve at the centre and state, we have to improve this to at least 15 MPs," said Patel.
