This means the students are free to complete their first three academic years in five years.

The court, had last week, said that the rules prescribed by Council of Architecture would prevail over the rules framed by respective universities while hearing petitions filed by two Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) students from Pune.

Ishan Darekar and Pravin Patil had moved the court after Pune University refused to admit them for the third year of B.Arch. course as had not cleared all subjects in first year.

Their counsel, Pooja Thorat, said in court that the Minimum Standards of Architectural Education framed by the Council would prevail over ATKT rules framed by Pune University.
