To facilitate matters, the BMC has uploaded the policy on its website (www.mcgm.gov.in). “Citizens can download the draft policy from the BMC website and submit their suggestions and objections to us. We will finalise the policy by the last week of February after considering public recommendations,” said a senior BMC official from the building proposals department.

Worried about the effects of radiation on health, activists and citizens have been campaigning for more stringent restrictions on the installation of mobile phone towers. People can send in suggestions by February 22.
