The chargesheet is regarding the alleged disruption of the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examination held on October 17, 2008 at Chetana College in Bandra.

The government had appointed advocates Rohini Salian and Majeed Memon as special public prosecutors in the case.

However, the investigation officer in the case filed the chargesheet when the two public prosecutors were not present.

“We were not informed [by the police] that the police are filing a chargesheet in the case,” said Rohini Salian.

Despite repeated attempts, Memon could not be reached for comment.

However Senior Police Inspector of Kherwadi police station, U.K. Rathod, said there was no need to inform them as it was just filed in the magistrates court. “We had the court public prosecutor to represent us,” said Rathod.
