Banthia had a meeting with officials from the state weather bureau and relief and rehabilitation department, to get an idea of the weather projections and possible relief measures that might need to be extended. According to a government statement, there has been 104 millimetres of rain, which is 74 per cent of the average. Only 13 per cent of water is left in state resources.

Banthia has called for a meeting of all divisional collectors to set up a system to deal with the delayed monsoon.
