Children, parents walk at Worli to highlight road safety

Kartavya, an effort by Podar Preschools (Podar Happy Kids and Podar Jumbo Kids) and the traffic police, in its second year, organised a Walkathon for children and parents on February 14, at the Gautam Buddha Park at Worli seaface to create awareness on staying alert and the importance of ‘safe roads’.

Podar Education Network director Swati Popat Vats said, “Last year we had restricted Kartavya to our school’s students. This year there were students and parents from all over the city.”

She also released ‘Jumbo Ideas For Happy Roads’, a booklet that has interactive ideas to teach children about road and traffic safety rules.
