Choreographer robbed of cash, jewellery

An unidentified accused stole cash and valuables worth Rs. 6.31 lakh from choreographer Saroj Khan's car parked at Andheri (West) on Tuesday.

An unidentified accused stole cash and valuables worth Rs. 6.31 lakh from choreographer Saroj Khan's car parked at Andheri (West) on Tuesday.

The police said a case of theft was registered. Khan's passport was also in the bag stolen by the accused. The incident took place on Monday evening around 4.30pm, when Khan had gone to a homeopathic clinic at Andheri.

“My driver was sitting in the car when the parking lot attendant came and asked him to fill in a ticket,” said Khan. “While he was doing that some one came from behind and took my bag. We tried searching in the area but could not find the person.” Officials registered a case of theft.
