Chunnabhatti gets new police station

The state home department has sanctioned a police station in Chunnabhatti.
The new police station has been created considering the huge increase in the population and increased number of offences.
The new police station will be formed by geographically dividing the jurisdiction of the Nehru Nagar and Chembur police stations.
For the newly created Chunnabhatti police station, 361 total posts in various cadres has been created and expenses required for the infrastructure and arms for the personnel is to be provided.
Nehru Nagar Police station was established in the year 1986 and Chembur police station in 1978.
