CM denies targeting NCP, hints at cabinet reshuffle
A day after the Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) impasse ended, chief minister Prithviraj Chavan on Thursday said that he was not gunning for anyone, especially the NCP ministers, but reiterated his resolve to maintain transparency in state governance.

Chavan spoke of enhancing coordination between the two parties and asked the NCP to make specific demands when the ruling partners meet formally every month.
He also played down a letter written by some Congress legislators as a legitimate demand for fast-tracking development works. To appease the disgruntled legislators, he indicated that the cabinet would be reshuffled or expanded soon.
“Manikrao Thakre [state Congress president] gave me the letter on Wednesday. It deals with specific subjects of development, and nothing else,” the chief minister said while addressing the media at the state guest house Sahyadri.
