The complainant and diamond trader Yogesh Mehta approached the police two days ago stating that between November 2009 and May 2011, a person known as Jignesh Shah got in touch with him. Mehta claimed that Shah took valuables from him on the pretext of buying them for his wife. “When the victim asked Shah for property or money, he was threatened,” said an officer from DB Marg police station.

Mehta approached DCP Zone II Anil Kumbare who then directed the local police to register an offence and investigate the issue. “The case is being investigated, we have not yet caught the accused,” said an official from the police station.
