Eminent banker and a well-known personality in the financial sector, Aniruddha Barwe, has passed away, a press release issued in Mumbai said.
Eminent banker and a well-known personality in the financial sector, Aniruddha Barwe, has passed away, a press release issued in Mumbai said.
Barwe who was 72, held many key positions during his career including Deputy Managing Director in State Bank of India, Managing Director at SBI Capital Markets and CFO at IDFC.
He was on the Board of several large organisations including Jain Irrigation Systems, Kotak Mahindra Trustee Company Ltd, Gujarat Borosil Ltd, Zenith Birla (India) Ltd, IFCI Financial Services Ltd, Kotak Mahindra New Pension Fund Scheme Ltd and MSPL Ltd.
He was the Chairman Advisory Board, YEN Management Consultants Pvt Ltd.
A condolence meeting will be held on Friday, October 8, between 6.30 pm and 8 pm at the Cultural Hall, YB Chavan Auditorium, Nariman Point, in the city.
