Sayyed’s last rites were conducted on Wednesday afternoon, after which his relatives went to the Sabuwalas’ home at Null Bazaar to pay their respects.

“Mohamed’s daughter returned from abroad, following which his last rites were conducted. Relatives of the Sabuwalas also attended the funeral,” said a relative.

A family friend of the Sabuwalas said, “Salim’s wife and daughters were shocked and deeply saddened on hearing about his death.”
