Four college students injured in accident on Palm Beach Rd
Exactly a month after four youngsters were killed in an accident on Palm Beach Road in Navi Mumbai, four students were injured in another accident on the same road on Wednesday.

The accident comes in the wake of the city and the road being plastered with banners on speeding and road safety.
The incident took place around 3.30pm near Chanakya College. The injured have been identified as Kunal Kannan, Saurav Chiprikar, Rupita Dingre and Udvita Hegde. All are first year students of MGM Engineering College in Kamothe.
According to eyewitnesses, Chiprikar was driving the , Maruti Swift Dzire in high speed from Vashi to Belapur. “However, the driver seemed to have lost control of the car and hit the side pathway and crashed into a road safety banner,” said an officer from Seawoods police station on condition of anonymity.
The injured were rushed to MGM hospital in Vashi.
While Kannan was discharged, the remaining three are still undergoing treatment for minor injuries, the police said, adding that all four youngsters were out of danger.
On December 11, 2011, four youngsters died after the car they were travelling in hit a tree and crashed into a concrete barrier at the accident-prone Palm Beach Road.
