MUMBAI: After the Gurgaon police involved in the encounter of gangster Sandeep Gadoli failed to respond to summons by its special investigation team (SIT), the Mumbai police have approached a city court for arrest warrants against them.
“The Mumbai court refused to accept the application and did not issue a warrant,” said ACP Avadhut Chavan, probe head. The court asked the SIT to come after the SC hearing scheduled May 27.
The team told the court on Tuesday that they approached the Gurgaon police repeatedly for their blood samples. As none complied, it moved the court for a non-bailable warrant.
