Girl who fell off school bldg is recovering

The 12-year-old student (name withheld) of Canossa Convent School in Mahim, who fell from the second floor of the school building on Tuesday, underwent surgery to correct the multiple fractures in her leg on Friday.

“She was operated upon on Friday. She is stable and recovering,” said Dr Gustad Davar, director of medical services, PD Hinduja Hospital. The student, who is a resident of Sitaladevi Road in Mahim, is recuperating in the ICU. The police recorded the statements of the girl’s parents on Thursday. “They told us that she fell from the second floor of the school while playing,” said S Gaud, police sub-inspector.
