Even though lakes have crossed last year's mark, we have to take the need of the city till next year into consideration. Therefore, water cuts would be in place till August 15, a civic official told PTI in Mumbai.

All the six lakes supplying water to the city are almost full because of good rainfall. It is a great relief, the official added.

Currently, residential and commercial users face 15 and 30 per cent water cut since last June.
