A 22-year-old housemaid on Saturday committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of the servants’ quarters of a building in Powai.
Officials investigating the case said the deceased, Jayshri Gaikwad, was unemployed with a 14th-floor resident of Heritage building. No suicide note has been found.
