On Thursday afternoon, hundreds of lawyers practicing in the Bombay high court including those representing the Advocates Associations of Western India, and the Bombay Bar Association took out a protest march in support of Anna Hazare’s agitation.

The marching advocates shouted slogans in support of Hazare and his team, also marking their protest against the steps taken by Delhi police against the anti-corruption crusader’s fast, and the restrictions placed on the protests in Delhi.

The Advocates Association of Western India went a step ahead and passed a resolution supporting Anna Hazare’s agitation in a specially convened meeting of its members.

The association’s office bearer, Advocate Ashish Gaikwad, said that the resolution declared support to the movement against corruption led by Anna Hazare. “The association also condemns the action initiated by police preventing Anna Hazare and his team from conducting their peaceful protests in Delhi,” the resolution added.
