The deceased, Sayyed Ali Shah, was assaulted by four persons identified as Ahmed alias Mental, Nazir, Javed and Shakil alias Hungama at around 3pm on Friday, said the police.

Shah, who was grievously injured in the attack, was taken to Rajawadi hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police officials said the fight between Ahmed and Sayyed started after the owner of the plot died.

Ahmed and his accomplices cornered Shah on Friday and attacked him with iron rods and wooden blocks. The police have arrested Ahmed, Nazir and Javed for the murder, while Shakil is still absconding.
