The warning comes in the wake of reports of some women being allegedly molested by the culprits.

Dr Deepak Paropkari, medical officer of health, NMMC, said, "These men, pretending to be NMMC employees, visit various houses in the area and tell the residents that they have come to ensure that the pregnant woman is in good health.

"None of them is our officer. The medical help and tests are extended only at the designated hospitals and medical centres and they are done by women employees only," Paropkari added.

“If anyone is approached by any such person, they should immediately inform the local police station and the municipal corporation. We will take strict action against such persons,” he said.
