MUMBAI: Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) on Thursday confirmed it was considering a private plot owned by Royal Palms Realty for construction of depot for Metro-3 project. In a press statement, MMRC informed that it was ready to shift the depot to 26 hectares of land in the Royal Palms township if it finds the land offered by the owners of the realty firm ‘feasible and viable’.

HT had on Wednesday reported that the MMRC had started exploring possibility of shifting the metro depot further in north in Royal Palms due to opposition to cutting of trees on the proposed 30-ha land in the Aarey Colony.
