Minor among 3 arrested for gang rape

Following the quadruple murders in Kurar village in Malad (east) that rocked the city recently, the Mumbai police had increased their network of informants in the area. It is through one of these informants, that the police got hold of the MMS clip and initiated enquiries into the case. Sources in the crime branch said that the accused had no intention of circulating the MMS. But, it began after one of the accused transferred the clip onto one of his friends’ phone via bluetooth. The MMS went viral in the area and soon reached the police.

The police will now be calling the victim and her parents for questioning.
