The Shiv Sena and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena, took lead in organising processions and celebrating the festival.

“All shakha pramukhs and local leaders took lead in organising the processions called Shobhayatras and there were lezims and dhols that went around the city.”

“Prominent Marathi neighbourhoods like Girgaum, Worli, Thane and Dombivli saw the maximum number of processions. This time, we tried to give each display and procession a social theme like using less plastic or save trees,” a Sena leader said,” he added.

“Uddhav saab was at home and many well-wishers came to greet him and Balasaheb,” he added.
