According to the Nagpada police, Mane was angered when he reported to work around 6.15am to find that Dilip Dongre, 55, and Ratan Shendge, 53, had assigned a different conductor for his bus. After a heated argument with the duo, he left from there.

“Mane came back around 9.30am and attacked Dongre and Shendge in their office. He was overpowered by other staff. He soon lost consciousness as he had consumed poison,” said Nandkumar Mhetar, senior inspector, Nagpada police. The police have booked him under charges of attempt to murder.
