Nirma to delist from BSE, NSE; shares hit 32-mo high

Detergent maker Nirma Ltd said the board has approved a proposal by the promoters to acquire all outstanding shares of the company at 235 rupees per share and delist from the BSE and NSE.

Detergent maker Nirma Ltd said the board has approved a proposal by the promoters to acquire all outstanding shares of the company at 235 rupees per share and delist from the BSE and NSE.

Shares of the company jumped 18 per cent to 264.85 rupees, their highest in 32 months on Monday morning in a firm Mumbai market. At 9:18 a.m., they were up 10 per cent at 247 rupees.

The price represents a premium of 4.7 percent over Nirma's closing price of 224.45 on Friday.
