The court observed this while refusing to grant relief to over 40 Haj tour operators, who were held ineligible by the ministry’s notification that makes it mandatory for tour operators to have an office with a carpet area of at least 250 sq ft.

A division bench of justice DD Sinha and justice VK Tahilramani, while hearing the bunch of petitions filed by the tour operators, said, “We are not disturbing the policy this year. We have already sent the list of eligible tour operators to the Saudi government.”
