“We were all very angry,” a parent said, adding that the school had said the service would be resumed on Thursday.

On Wednesday the school had informed only some parents that the buses would not be plying, the parent said.

Hindustan Times was unable to contact the school authorities. But a bus driver, who supervises the bus service, said he had asked the school for time to overhaul the buses.

“There have been so many accidents,” said driver Balu Dhange, 33. “If anything happens, everyone blame us.”
