In the incident on Thursday at 6.40am, while walking along CST road in Kalina, Santacruz (East), Sanjay Jaiswal, 35, saw an inebriated Indrajit Sawant, 35, beating up another car driver, Hrishi Gandhi, after running into his vehicle from the rear. Sawant hit him with a baseball bat when he intervened.
While Sawant has been arrested and booked for attempted murder, Jaiswal’s condition is critical.
In the other incident, Dheeraj Singh, 25, was beaten up by an off-duty BEST bus driver, Virendra Chouhan, 35, and three accomplices in Goregaon (West) on Wednesday noon when his vehicle came in the way of a BEST bus near Link road.
