On July 23, Jadwani, a housewife along with a relative and a friend was going home when an Innova reportedly brushed past Jadwani’s Lancer while taking a U-turn.

The three got out of their car and after abusing the driver, Vinod Singh, snatched his belongings and the car's music system despite Singh apologising.

After snatching his belongings, the trio sped and the driver reported the matter to the Versova police.

He also provided the police with the registration number of the Lancer based on which the police traced Jadwani and arrested her on Saturday.

The police said that Singh was returning to his employer's residence after dropping a relative when the incident took place.

“We arrested Jadwani in a case of robbery. She was produced in the court and has been sent behind bars for two days,” said Senior Police Inspector Suresh Nalavade.

Jadwani who stays with her husband in China had come to Mumbai on a vacation, the police said.

Jadwani’s husband is a businessman dealing in imports and exports.
