Russian cargo carrier grounded at Mumbai airport

A Russian cargo carrier was grounded at the city airport on Saturday after a tow-tractor helping it for take-off accidentally caused minor damage to one of the crucial navigational aids below the cockpit.

The incident took place around 2 am on Saturday.

A Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) spokesperson confirmed the incident. “The aircraft was kept on standby for minor repairs. It would take-off for Moscow soon,” said the spokesperson.
