On Thursday, 50 Sainiks barged into the office of the BNHS at Colaba, carrying flags and shouting slogans. They removed the letter ‘B’ letter from the organisation’s nameplate.

Asad Rehmani, director of BNHS, confirmed that Sainiks came to the institute.

“The group demonstrated without violence,” said Rehmani. “I called the group to my office and told them only the board of directors of BNHS could take a decision on changing the name. They left without doing any damage to the place.”

Rehmani has filed a complaint with the Colaba police against members of the Sena for trespassing. “We have filed a complaint against the group and not any individual,” said Rehmani.

Police Sub-Inspector S. Kadam, from Colaba police station, confirmed that the BNHS had filed a complaint.

“We will take down statements of the party members,” Kadam said.

Sena leader Anil Desai said they requested the BNHS management to change the name of the institute.

Desai said, the BNHS had agreed and will take up the issue in during its next meeting.
