Shop robbed, raw material set on fire

Unidentified men broke into a steel manufacturing shop in the Sardar Nagar area of Sion-Koliwada on Friday night and robbed Rs 6,000. They also set raw material inside the shop on fire.

Unidentified men broke into a steel manufacturing shop in the Sardar Nagar area of Sion-Koliwada on Friday night and robbed Rs 6,000. They also set raw material inside the shop on fire.

Dharavi resident, Somnath Jain, said this is the fourth time this year that his shop, Manoj Steel Bhandar, has been robbed and material set on fire.

"We have asked the fire brigade to establish the cause of fire. Once we get their report we will start our line of investigations. At the moment, we are working on some clues that we have gathered,” said Devram Deokar, senior police inspector of the Antop Hill police station.
