South Mumbai residents sweat it out as humidity remains high

Humidity levels reached 80% during the day and 81% in the evening in south Mumbai. The suburbs recorded 72% and 70% relative humidity during the morning and evening respectively.

High level of moisture in the air made south Mumbai sweat on the second day in a row on Friday.

Humidity levels reached 80% during the day and 81% in the evening in south Mumbai. The suburbs recorded 72% and 70% relative humidity during the morning and evening respectively.

According to officials from the India Meteorological Department, maximum temperatures in south Mumbai dropped to 33.8 degrees Celsius, 0.5 degree Celsius above normal on Friday as compared to Thursday’s 34.2 degrees Celsius.

The suburbs recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsius (1.1 degree Celsius above normal) on Thursday.

Minimum temperatures in south Mumbai increased to 28 degrees Celsius, 1.5 degrees Celsius above normal, on Friday, as compared to 27.2 degrees Celsius on Thursday. The suburbs recorded 25.2 degrees Celsius, 0.8 degree Celsius below normal.
