State nod for more fsi for mhada projects

The state Housing department has increased the floor space index to 2.5 from 1.33. The move has been made to attract private builders to construct more residential buildings of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority .

The state Housing department has increased the floor space index to 2.5 from 1.33. The move has been made to attract private builders to construct more residential buildings of Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA).

“The decision to increase the FSI was cleared at yesterday’s assembly session in Nagpur,” said Sachin Ahir, minister of state for Housing.

Mehta has claimed that he had carried out additional work to prepare the master plan for the project and making presentations of the same for which he had employed about 45 people for 20 months.

The state has, however, refused to accept the demand. “We will not pay any money to Mehta’s firm. The demand is not justified as no such clause was mentioned in the tender,” said Ahir.
