Four-year-old Sreyashi Lohana from Kandivli will be heading to the jungle with her mother next month. They will be visiting Pench National Park in Maharashtra.
“Both of us are excited about the camp. I have experienced an incredible adrenaline rush during such adventure camps earlier. Now, I want my kids to experience it with me. It will be a great way to bond with them,” said Sonal Lohana, the mother.
These tailor-made summer camps are aimed at encouraging parents to send their young children on adventure trips. “Parents often hesitate to send little children alone on adventure trips. So we allow parents to join them. It’s a win-win situation. Children are exposed to adventurous activities while parents don’t worry too much,” said Mazhar Asif, director of Nature Knights, another adventure company that offers a mother-and-kids camp.
The ‘Me-and-Mom’ programme offered by Jungle Lore Camps has activities such as animal-tracking and pugmarks identification for young children.
